Visiting
Costa Rica
Costa
Rica is Central Americas most visited country with over one million
visitors each year and its easy to see why! From wildlife
viewing - spot to elusive Quetzal and listen to the Howler Monkeys
to breathtaking vistas, amazing volcanoes, seductive waves and lush
rainforests, Costa Rica is a must see destination.

When
to Go
The
sunniest, driest season in most of the country is from mid-December
to the end of April. This dry season is known as verano (summer). Although
this is considered the driest of the seasons, this does not mean it
doesnt rain it just rains less. Temperatures range from
20C (70F) to 30C (85F) and the humidity is very high. Costa Rican schools
are close from December to February.
Visas
Passport-carrying
nationals from most European countries, Argentina, Canada, Israel, Japan,
Panama and the USA are not required a visa and are allowed to stay for
90 days.
Citizens
from Australia, Iceland, Ireland, Mexico, New Zealand, Russia, South
Africa and Venezuela do not require a visa and are allowed to stay for
30 days.
Citizens
from other countries require a visa from a Costa Rican embassy or consulate.

Extending
Your Stay
To
extend your stay in Costa Rica, the easiest way is to leave the country
for 72 hours and then re-enter. This gives you a great opportunity to
visit neighboring Panama or Nicaragua! Our friendly staff can help you
with this process by recommending and arranging for transportation and
accommodation.
